From shelf stacker to supermodel: Chiselled Aldi worker scoops Mr England title (but he is STILL working at the budget supermarket)
- Chris Bramell was scouted by Mr Liverpool bosses while at work
- The 22-year-old cried after beating Armani model to the crown
- Pin-up only has eyes for one lady - his girlfriend Brittany Connor, 19
A shelf stacker has been crowned Mr England after beating off stiff competition in the form of an Armani model, a personal trainer and a professional tennis player.
Chiselled Chris Bramell, 22, was scanning groceries in a Liverpool branch of Aldi when he was scouted by Mr Liverpool bosses. He decided to enter the beauty contest after his mother badgered him into it.
Despite saying the accolade has really 'boosted' his confidence, the Ken doll-lookalike, from Netherley, Liverpool, has no intention of quitting his store assistant job.

Recalling the moment he was discovered by talent scouts, Chris said: 'I was just at work in Aldi - it was a normal day at work and I was on the till.
'One of the Mr Liverpool organisers shops in Aldi, and she was getting served on the till opposite and asked the girl about me. At first I was unsure because I've never done anything like that.
'But my mum was really keen and so I thought why not?'
Handsome Chris was working full-time in the price-friendly retailer when he beat nine other competitors - including one who looked 'like a proper model' - to land the Mr Liverpool title.

'It really boosted my confidence and self-esteem,' he said. 'I won a modelling contract and got some pictures shot ready for Mr England.
'There were three rounds to prepare for so I had to get started straight away.'
Good-looking Chris said he decided to take part just for the experience and 'never in a million years expected to win'.
He added: 'It's all new to me - but my mum always says to give everything a go because you never know what will come of things.
'When I turned up to the Mr England final and saw all the lads I never thought I would even be in the top three, let alone win. They all had fab potential and a few of them were real-life models.'

In the final three was Chris, an Armani model and a guy who had 'won the top model round'.
'So when they shouted "Mr Liverpool" as the winner I just thought, "Oh my god",' Chris said. 'I jumped back in shock and got a little feeling in my stomach.
'I even popped a tear and started crying, it meant that much to me - they were happy tears, I was dead overwhelmed. My mum rang me after and we were both just in tears over the phone.
'When I saw her two days later she burst into tears and gave me a massive hug. She's so proud - she's always had confidence in me and thought something like this might happen to me.'
Despite his new found fame, clean-cut Chris doesn't plan on giving up his supermarket job: 'It's a fantastic feeling winning Mr England, but I'll still carry on working in Aldi.'

'I want to get out there and show people if I can do it, anyone can do it - I'm just a normal lad from Liverpool,' he said. 'I want to be a role model for people.
'I've always done a lot of charity work, and now I've got Mr England behind me I'm going to push that a lot more. I do a lot of work with disabled people and it's a great feeling, it's very rewarding.

'She's over the moon I've won, she thinks I'm going to win Mr World too. We're 100 per cent behind each other and she knows I'll always be with her - she's unbelievable.
'Luckily she's not one of those girls who gets jealous.'
